How it works

One form. Ten business days. Then it’s yours.

We designed the process for people who are busiest exactly when they need a website most. Everything happens by email, on your schedule, with as few decisions as possible put on your plate.

  1. Tell us about your farm

Ten minutes on our Get Started form: what you grow, how you sell, what the website needs to do. No sales call unless you want one.

  2. We build it

Within 10 business days you get a complete site to review — real pages, your words shaped by us, your photos (or ours while you gather yours).

  3. You review, we refine

Two rounds of changes are included. We set up ordering, bookings, Google Business Profile and your domain.

  4. Launch & keep it fresh

We host it, back it up, keep it secure and make your monthly changes. You update hours and news from your phone.

In detail

What happens at each step

1. The intake form (10 minutes)

The Get Started form asks what you grow or raise, how you sell, your season, the pages you need, and what you want the site to do (take orders, sell tickets, show hours). You can attach your logo and a few photos, or send them later.

Within one business day you get a confirmation email with a short list of anything we still need and the setup invoice (half now, half at launch). If you picked “not sure” on plan, this email includes our recommendation and why.

What we need from you

  • Answers to the form (that’s most of it)
  • Your logo, if you have one — or we’ll make a simple wordmark
  • 10–20 photos from your phone (here’s how), or use our illustration set until you have them
  • Login or registrar details for your domain, if you own one
  • Your prices, hours and policies — in whatever form they exist

2. The build (about 10 business days)

We write the copy from your answers, in your voice, aimed at the searches your customers make. We build every page on our farm platform, set up your ordering or booking tool, configure your Google Business Profile, and write the structured data that tells Google what you sell and when you’re open.

You get one email: a link to the complete site on a private preview address, plus a 5-minute walkthrough video.

Why no meetings?

Because a 45-minute kickoff call at 2pm on a Tuesday in September is the last thing a farmer needs. A form you can fill in at the kitchen table at 9pm is better for you, and the written answers are better for us.

3. Review and refine (1–2 weeks, mostly waiting on you)

Reply to the email with changes — a list, a marked-up screenshot, a voice memo, whatever is easiest. Two full rounds are included and most farms use one. We also test every form, every order flow and every page on a phone.

4. Launch and keep it fresh (ongoing)

We point your domain, set up email forwarding if needed, submit the site to Google, and send you the “how to update your hours from your phone” guide. From then on you email us changes and they’re done within your plan’s response time. Hosting, backups, security and monitoring are ours to worry about.

Timeline

Typical calendar for a Harvest build

Day 0

You submit the form

Confirmation, questions and invoice within 1 business day.

Day 1–10

We build

Copy, design, ordering setup, Google profile, structured data.

Day 10–20

You review

Two rounds of changes. Forms and checkout tested on real phones.

Day ~21

Launch

Domain pointed, Google notified, training guide sent. Ongoing from here.

Up against a season opener? Say so on the form. We prioritise farms with a hard date.

After launch

  • Changes by email

“We’re out of Honeycrisp, add a note” — done. “New prices for the season, attached” — done. Within your plan’s included time, no invoice.

  • Hours & status from your phone

The status banner and seasonal hours are yours to change in seconds — no logins to a page builder, no risk of breaking anything.

  • We carry the technical risk

Hosting, SSL, backups, updates, monitoring. If the site goes down at 6am on a Saturday in October, that’s our problem and we’re already on it.

  • Search ranking reports

Harvest and Homestead plans get a plain-English report of what you rank for and what to do next — no dashboards to learn.
