Two markets a week, and a few places that buy by the case.
If you're not in the CSA and the stand is out of your way, here's where else to find us. Market produce is picked the day before, or that morning for the Saturday booth. Prices match the stand; SNAP and Market Match are accepted at both markets.
Market schedule, 2026
| Market | Day | Hours | Season | Where | Find us |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Viroqua Saturday Market | Saturday | 8:00 am – 12:00 pm | May 2 – Oct 31 | Downtown, Main St lot | Booth 14, northwest corner by the coffee cart. CSA pickup here too. |
| La Crosse Thursday Market | Thursday | 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm | June 4 – Oct 15 | Northside, Copeland Ave | Look for the red awning near the bandstand. CSA pickup at the booth. |
| Viroqua Winter Market | Saturday, every other | 9:00 am – 12:00 pm | Nov 14 – Mar 13 | Community center gym | Storage crops, eggs, garlic, winter greens from the tunnel. |
Rain or shine. If a market cancels for weather, it goes on the weekly update and our Instagram by 6 am. Sold-out items are posted on the booth chalkboard; we bring enough for the first three hours on purpose.
What we bring on Saturdays
Everything from the stand list plus salad mix, bagged spinach and arugula, flower bunches, and whatever is short enough that we'd rather sell it in town than let it sit. Twelve crates of tomatoes in August; six crates of corn, gone by 10.
Thursday in La Crosse
A smaller load: the week's best eight or ten items, eggs, flowers, and pre-orders in named boxes. It's an evening market, so bring a cooler if you're not going straight home. We leave at 7 sharp to get back for chores.
Pre-orders at market
Anything on the bulk price list can be ordered for market pickup by Sunday night (Saturday) or Tuesday night (Thursday). We pack it, label it with your name and keep it in the shade under the table.
Co-ops and restaurants
About a fifth of what we grow goes out by the case. We sell to the food co-ops in Viroqua and La Crosse year-round (storage crops and tunnel greens in winter), and to four restaurants in Viroqua, Westby and La Crosse in season. We're not looking to add stores, but we have room for one or two more kitchens that will commit to a weekly standing order.
How it works
- We send an availability sheet by email every Sunday evening with prices, pack sizes and what's coming next week.
- Order by Monday noon for Tuesday delivery; by Wednesday noon for Thursday. Deliveries are on our way to CSA sites, so routes are fixed.
- Case minimum is $75 per delivery. Net 14, by check or ACH.
- Everything is packed in food-grade waxed boxes or returnable RPCs, hydrocooled and held at 36°F until it leaves the farm.
- Certified organic, GAP-audited, and we carry $2M liability. Certificates are on the sheet.
Chefs: the things we grow that are hard to find elsewhere are the ones worth a call about. Hakurei turnips, fairytale eggplant, Jimmy Nardello peppers, lemon cucumbers, castelfranco in October, and 14 varieties of heirloom tomato.

Market etiquette, from a vendor's side of the table
A few things that make Saturdays go better for everyone, written down because people ask.
- Bring small bills if you can. We take cards, but a line of $1 and $2 purchases on a card reader is slow for everyone behind you.
- Squeeze with the back of your hand, not your thumb. Tomatoes and peaches bruise. A press on the bottom tells you everything a squeeze would.
- Ask us what to do with it. We grow 180 varieties and have cooked all of them. If you don't know what a kohlrabi is for, that's a good question, not a dumb one.
- Ten minutes before close, prices drop. Whatever we don't want to drive home goes on the "take it" crate. Regulars know. Now you do.
