The stand at the end of the driveway.

Open every day from 8 in the morning until 7 at night, May 15 through October 31. Nobody's behind the counter; you weigh, you tally, you pay at the kiosk. We restock at 8 and around 3, and the chalkboard says what came in.

How the stand works

  1. Grab a basket or a box from the stack.
  2. Weigh anything sold by the pound on the hanging scale. Round down; we're not fussy.
  3. Write it on a tally slip or just add it up in your head.
  4. Pay at the kiosk. It prints a receipt if you want one.
  5. Return the basket. Keep the box if you need it.

Dogs on a leash are fine. The cooler at the back has bagged salad and eggs; keep the door shut.

Bulk orders for canning and freezing

In August and September we pack bulk boxes to order so you're not guessing whether there'll be 20 pounds of Romas on the table when you get here. Order by Sunday night for Thursday pickup at the stand, or Saturday at the Viroqua market. Pay when you pick up.

Finding us

From Viroqua

Take US 14 west for 2 miles, turn left on County Road P. We're 4 miles down on the right, just past the second bridge. Red mailbox, red awning, a sign that says STAND. About 9 minutes from the co-op.

Parking

Pull into the gravel lot by the stand, not the farmhouse drive. There's room for eight cars and a trailer turnaround. Please don't block the barn doors on Tuesdays and Thursdays; that's where the delivery van loads.

Bring

Your own bags and boxes if you have them. A cooler if you're driving more than an hour in August. Kids are welcome in the stand and on the mowed path to the high tunnel; the fields are a working area, so please stay on the path.
