Juniper Hill Vineyard & Creamery

Private events

The terrace, the view, and nobody else on the hill.

A stone terrace under a cedar pergola, a long table for forty or round tables for eighty, string lights, our wine and cheese, and the bay going pink behind you. We host a small number of private events each year, May to October, and we'd rather do a few of them very well.

The space

One terrace, one tasting room, one lawn.

The terrace is 1,800 square feet of bluestone with a cedar pergola over half of it and the vineyard falling away on three sides. It seats 40 at one long table, 64 at rounds, or holds 80 standing. The tasting room opens straight onto it through three sets of doors and seats 36 inside if the weather turns. The lower lawn takes a ceremony for up to 80 chairs, looking north-east over the bay, with the old orchard as the backdrop.

We don't own a tent, a dance floor or a sound system beyond a small speaker for toasts. For a bigger wedding than this, we'll happily point you to two venues on the peninsula that do those things beautifully.

How booking works

  1. Send the inquiry

The form below, or an email. Tell us the date, the size and what kind of thing you have in mind.
  2. Walk the terrace

We'll set up a visit (or a video call if you're far away) and send a written quote within a week.
  3. Hold the date

A 25% deposit holds it. The balance is due 30 days out. Wine is settled on the night.
  4. The run-up

A planning call two months out and a walk-through the week before, with the caterer.

Good to know

  • Weather: the tasting room seats 36 and the pergola is covered, so a dinner for 24 is rain-proof; a seated wedding for 64 needs a tent plan, which the caterers can arrange.
  • Sheep will be in the lower pasture during your event. Guests always end up at the fence.
  • We're a working farm: harvest runs through October, and we'll tell you if a crew will be in the rows on your date.
  • Cancellation: deposit is refundable up to 120 days out for weddings, 60 days for other events.
  • We don't host events during lambing (mid-March to mid-April). Everyone is too tired.

Inquire

Tell us about your day.

Private events are handled by Dana Ruiz, who also runs the tasting room. She replies to every inquiry personally, usually within two business days, and faster in winter when the terrace is under snow and she has time to think.

If your date is less than six weeks away, please call (555) 017-3390 as well.
