The Wine & Cheese Club.

Four times a year, a box of what the hill made that season: estate wine and cave-aged cheese chosen by Marit and Tess, with notes on where it came from and what to do with it. Two tiers, no sign-up fee, cancel after your second shipment.

Two tiers

Shipments go out the first week of March, June, September and December. Pick up at the tasting room (and stay for a glass) or have it shipped to any state we can legally send to. Members choose a mostly-white, mostly-red or mixed preference.

Tier one

Terrace

$145per quarter

Roughly $580 a year. For people who want to drink the current releases and keep the cheese drawer full.

  • 4 bottles per shipment (16 a year), mixed to your preference
  • 1 lb of cave-aged cheese per shipment, chosen by Tess
  • 15% off all wine and cheese, every visit
  • Two complimentary estate flights per visit, up to twice a month
  • Invitation to the four release weekends
  • First access to the Pét-Nat each June

Cave

$265per quarter

Roughly $1,060 a year. Everything above, plus library wines, the whole-wheel option and the cave to yourselves once a year.

  • 6 bottles per shipment (24 a year), including one library or magnum bottle each quarter
  • 2 lb of cheese per shipment, with the option of a whole 9 lb Tomme once a year at cost
  • 20% off all wine and cheese; 25% on case purchases
  • Complimentary paired flights for up to four, every visit
  • Private cave tasting for up to six, once a year, with Tess
  • Priority terrace reservations and holiday-box ordering
  • Member dinner on the terrace each September, two seats included

What's in a typical box

March (Terrace): 2 × 2024 Dry Riesling, 1 × Pinot Blanc, 1 × Old Orchard Cider, and a pound of nine-month Tomme. September (Cave): 2 × Riesling, 1 × Pinot Blanc, 2 × Blaufränkisch, 1 × 2019 library Riesling, a pound of Tomme and a pound of Bay Blue.

Shipping states

Wine ships to MI, IL, MN, WI, OH, IN, NY, FL and DC. Cheese ships to every state in the lower 48 but only October to April; in warm months, members outside Michigan receive extra wine in place of cheese or pick up on their next visit (we'll hold it in the cave).

Changing or leaving

Switch tiers, skip a quarter or cancel by emailing [email protected] at least two weeks before a shipment. After two shipments there's no commitment at all. Nobody will phone you to talk you out of it.
