Twelve towns, two Saturdays a month
Our refrigerated box truck runs a northern loop through Minnesota and La Crosse on the second Saturday of every month and a southern loop through northeast Iowa on the third. Shares, boxes and cut orders all ride. Or come to the farm store — it's open every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, and the self-serve freezer every day.
Twenty minutes, one parking lot
Order by Wednesday
Shares already reserved are on the truck automatically once your balance is paid. Boxes and cut orders need to be in by Wednesday 8 pm before the route.
Watch for the text
Friday night we text everyone on the route with the truck's phone number. Saturday morning we text again if we're running more than 10 minutes behind.
Find the truck
White box truck, red gate on the side. Come to the back. We'll have your order labelled and ready; pay any balance by card, check or cash.
Missed it?
Call the truck number — if you're close we'll wait five minutes. Otherwise your order goes back in the freezer at the farm, no charge, and rides the next route or you can collect it at the store.
Drop point schedule
Times are arrival windows. We stay the full window even if everyone's been served early. No routes the Saturday after Thanksgiving or between Christmas and New Year — December dates are moved up a week where needed.

Straight from Fjelstad
Half and whole shares can be collected directly from Fjelstad Locker, 114 N Elm St, Cresco, Tuesday–Friday 8–5 and Saturday 8–noon, once we've confirmed your balance is paid. Bring coolers or boxes: a half is 232 lb and the locker boxes it in 40 lb cases. Quarters are consolidated to the farm so we can mix front and hind correctly.
Bringing it home
- Everything is frozen solid. In a closed vehicle it's fine for 3–4 hours in any weather; in July put a blanket over it.
- A half beef fills the back of a Subaru; a whole needs a pickup bed or a minivan with the seats down.
- Empty your freezer first and turn it to its coldest setting the night before.
- Don't stack it all in one freezer at once if you can avoid it — split between two for the first 24 hours so it stays frozen through.
